Four injured in Omaha crash, all occupants 16-years-old

OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN) — On Wednesday, just after 6:30 p.m., personnel from the Gretna and Omaha Fire Departments, along with Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a crash in the Chalco Hills Recreation Area.

Officials found a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, occupied by four people, left the roadway and struck a tree. All occupants were 16-years-old, three males and one female. Two of the males suffered critical injuries, with one being transported to Bergan Mercy by ambulance and the other by helicopter. The female was transported to the same hospital by ambulance with moderate injuries. The third male had only minor injuries and did not require transportation.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office.
