Officers locate deceased men in the back of a residence

Kansas City police are investigating after two men were killed Saturday evening in a shooting near 47th Terrace and Sterling Avenue.Police said officers were called at 6 p.m. to the area on a sound of shots call. When they arrived, police said the officers were flagged down by people in the area and directed to the back yard of a home, where police found two men down. Both men died at the scene.Two people were detained. No charges have been filed.Detectives ask anyone with information on the shooting to call the Homicide Unit at 816-234-5043 or the TIPS Hotline anonymously at 816-474-TIPS. A reward of up to $25,000 is available for information leading to an arrest in the case.
