The iconic Chappan Dukan Street in Indore looked like a beautiful dream this Valentine’s Week. The street, decorated with beautiful red lights, hearts, flowers and balloons got the little kid in us, all hyped up! I mean look at the pictures, isn’t it just the cutest thing you’ve seen?

The street was coloured in the colour of love and people couldn’t stop taking pictures! All the decorations, the light coupled with the beautiful picture station, which looked nothing less than a stage, was insanely mesmerizing. The picture station had two teddy bears made out of red roses, two heart shaped canopies that nestled a love seat where couples could take pictures.

How cute is that!

Indore’s evening are anyway an ode to all the street food the city has to offer and come Valentine’s Day people couldn’t steer away from the street market owing to it’s beauty and the entire vibe.

The street food hub was also filled with shopkeepers selling cutesy Valentine’s stuff, heart shaped pillows dangling from make-shift ceilings and “Love” teddy bears and key chains lined on display.

Chappan Dukan is the most prominent landmark and probably the most loved evening hangout in Indore. With 56 food shops, several joints and kiosks lining the streets, it is truly a foodie’s dream come true. From spicy hot dogs, savoury sandwiches, crispy kachoris to sweet jalebi and cooling lassi, there’s nothing you won’t find here.

Chappan Dukan is also the second FSSAI certified street food market in the country and is much lauded for its hygiene. This food hub is one of the cleanest in the country as they have wash basins, hand sanitizers, garbage bins and compost at every single corner. Another wonderful aspect of the market is that every cook and server is always gloved and capped, which of course is very satisfying to see, especially in a “street food” prominent area. Chappan truly represents Indore, the city that is passionate about food and hygiene.
