Two men are behind bars after six hospital employees were attacked in two separate incidents at the Tau Center.

According to the arrest report, a 32-year-old man assaulted two mental health technicians at the Tau Center just after 10 a.m. on April 22.

The first victim says he was punched while attempting to give the patient treatment. A second victim says the man punched him while nurses attempted to give him medication.

The first victim suffered a busted lip and a broken right pinkie finger. The second victim has swelling on the left side of his face.

The patient was arrested and charged with second-degree battery, battery of emergency room personnel.

Two hours later, police say a 40-year-old patient became irate while resisting treatment from hospital personnel and began fighting four employees, resulting in minor injuries. Police say there were several holes in the wall as a result of the fight.

The second patient was booked on four counts of battery of emergency personnel and a charge of criminal damage to property.

Earlier this month, a nurse was attacked by a mental health patient at Baton Rouge General and died from her injuries sustained. Police are still looking for 54-year-old Jessie Guillory, of Lake Charles in connection to the homicide investigation. He’s wanted on one count of manslaughter.
