East Tennessee tornado, thunderstorm warnings expire

 The National Weather Service in Morristown, Tennessee, this afternoon issued several tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings for the area - including Knox, Jefferson and Sevier counties - and they all have since expired.

Knoxville Utilities Board reported more than 2,000 customers without power after 6 p.m., though that number had dropped to 139 by midnight.

Although residents said they saw rotation in the clouds this afternoon, no tornadoes have been officially confirmed.
