Wednesday classes canceled and delayed in East Tennessee due to winter weather

As snow moved into East Tennessee on Tuesday evening, some school districts announced cancellations and delays for Wednesday. 

Knoxville could see up to a tenth of an inch to half an inch of accumulation. Northeast Tennessee and the mountains could see 1-2 inches. 

Any remaining snow that falls overnight will likely melt on Wednesday, with a forecast of temperatures in the low 40s with sunshine.

Anderson County Schools: Closed on Wednesday 

Blount County Schools: Delayed two hours

Campbell County Schools: Closed on Wednesday

Christian Academy of Knoxville: Delayed one hour 

Claiborne County Schools: Closed on Wednesday 

Clinton City Schools: Closed on Wednesday 

Cocke County Schools: Delayed two hours, but the district will make its final decision at 7:30 a.m.

Concord Christian School: Delayed two hours

Cumberland County Schools: Closed on Wednesday 

Episcopal School of Knoxville: Delayed two hours

Grace Christian Academy: Closed on Wednesday 

Grainger County Schools: Closed on Wednesday 

Hamblen County Schools: Delayed two hours

Hawkins County Schools: Delayed two hours

Jefferson County Schools: Delayed two hours

Knox County Schools: Delayed two hours

Knoxville Catholic High School: Delayed two hours

Lenoir City Schools: Closed on Wednesday

Loudon County Schools: Closed on Wednesday 

Monroe County Schools: Closed on Wednesday

Morgan County Schools: Closed on Wednesday

Oak Ridge City Schools: Delayed two hours

Oneida Special School District: Delayed two hours

Roane County Schools: Closed on Wednesday 

Sacred Heart School: Delayed two hours
