These East Tennessee schools are closed, delayed by Friday morning's road conditions

East Tennessee roads are expected to be icy Friday morning following a full day's rain and snow, and overnight temperatures that dropped into the teens and 20s across the region.

Due to the threat of icy road conditions, the following school districts have announced closures or delays for Friday:

Knox County

Knox County Schools: Two-hour delay

Pellissippi State Community College: Opens at 9 a.m.

Knoxville Catholic High School: Two-hour delay 

Christian Academy of Knoxville: Two-hour delay. All morning activities are canceled and there will be no zero period. There will be no drop off prior to 9:35 a.m. 

Grace Christian Academy: Two-hour delay

Webb School of Knoxville: Opens at 10 a.m. 

Emerald Academy: Two-hour delay

Episcopal School of Knoxville: Two-hour delay  

Sacred Heart Cathedral School: Two-hour delay

Concord Christian School: Two-hour delay

Surrounding counties 

Anderson County Schools: Closed

Blount County Schools: Two-hour delay

Claiborne County Schools: Two-hour delay

Clinton City Schools: Two-hour delay

Cocke County Schools: Closed

Cumberland County Schools: Closed

Grainger County Schools: Two-hour delay

Greene County Schools: Closed. ESP will be open at Doak, Mosheim and SGHS, but students need to bring their own lunch. Central office will be open. 

Hamblen County Schools: Two-hour delay

Hancock County Schools: Two-hour delay

Hawkins County Schools: Two-hour delay

Jefferson County Schools: Closed

Lenoir City Schools: Two-hour delay

Loudon County Schools: Two-hour delay 

Meigs County Schools: Closed

Monroe County Schools: Two-hour delay

Morgan County Schools: Closed

Oneida Special School District: Two-hour delay

Roane County Schools: Two-hour delay

Rogersville City Schools: Two-hour delay
