COLORADO — The statewide total of COVID-19 cases stands at 27,615 as of Friday afternoon, with 1,524 deaths among people who had the virus. Of those, 1,274 are directly due to COVID-19. To date, 4,472 people have been hospitalized since the start of the pandemic.

12:00 p.m. | COVID-19 death in Pueblo
Health officials from the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment announced this week the death of one Pueblo County resident related to COVID-19, bringing the total number of Pueblo County deaths to 20. The most recent death was a 52-year-old man who was reported as confirmed positive for COVID-19.

3:50 p.m. | Some Colorado Springs city facilities reopening in coming weeks
City of Colorado Springs officials say many Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services facilities that have been closed or suspended due to COVID-19 will reopen over the next few weeks, with modifications to help prevent spread of the coronavirus.
Those who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or have been in close contact with someone with symptoms are asked to stay home. All visitors are reminded to practice handwashing and other hygiene practices and maintain a physical distance of at least 6 feet from others, and to wear a face covering if the activity allows.
