9-year-old girl injured in drive-by shooting in Oklahoma City, police say
Police are investigating after a 9-year-old girl was injured in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night in Oklahoma City.According to police, the shooting was reported just after 10:30 p.m. at an apartment near Northeast 13th Street and Stiles Avenue. Police said the victim and her family were inside their home. The grandmother noticed a vehicle behind the apartment. Five shots were heard with at least one round going through the sliding glass door of the apartment, according to police.Police said no one could give a description of the vehicle, only saying that it drove away. The victim, a 9-year-old girl who was inside the apartment, was struck by the gunfire in the left arm, and police said the round was lodged in her left shoulder area. She was taken to OU Medical Center and was said to be in good condition.No arrests have been made.
