Overnight curfew for part of downtown Oklahoma City no longer in effect
when we know Mayor David Holt just put an end to the overnight curfew that's been in place the last couple of days, and he's still on scene right now. Listening to protesters. In fact, he did not just put it into the curfew. He actually came here to right in front of Oklahoma City police headquarters and told him in person, He said, Hey, can we just talk tonight? Can we just talk tonight? And everybody said yes. And he said that I'm gonna pull the curfew. Huge cheers. He spoke for a little bit about his meeting with black lives matter, talking about some of the things that he's going to be looking at. And now the middle said that he's just going to stand and he's going to listen and he's gonna listen to as many different people as he can tonight. That's that's him there with the mask with the light blue shirt. Obviously, he's a tall gentleman, and he said that he actually is gonna be here as much as possible to talk. This is a protest that was here. There was a protest. Amiriyah Gardens, then came here, went back to Merrion Gardens, came back here and there was another protest. It has been peaceful the entire day, and I want to make that clear. In fact, the only bit of violence that I saw today was a protester who was attacked by a group of four men who were not with the protest group that attacked this protester because they were upset about the way that he was flying. His flag was flying his American flag upside down. He said his country was in distress. We see this video right here of the fight that I got from a woman who watched this all. I then spoke to that woman Immediately afterwards, she told me what happened from one side of the street to the other side of the street. They eventually grabbed his flag and we're shoving it toward him and started throwing punches. It was 44 people on one guy, kind of what happened? All right, so right after that happened a law enforcement officer, somebody who's undercover actually drove in, separated the Attackers from the man who was pro testing. That protester, who witnesses told me was attacked, told police that he did not want to press charges. And so everybody eventually kind of went on their own ways. Everybody, there was no serious injuries, everything like that
