Two in custody after leading Oklahoma City police on chase
Two people are in police custody after leading officers on a chase Friday afternoon through northwest Oklahoma City.
According to police, the chase started near Northwest 122nd Street and May Avenue, when officers tried to stop a vehicle because they believed it was involved in a carjacking/robbery. The driver took off, leading officers on a chase.
Police said two people bailed out of the car at McGee Park near Hefner Road and Western Avenue. They were both taken into custody.
According to police, the car was believed to have been stolen late Tuesday night. The victim said the car was taken from him at gunpoint at Heritage Park Apartments near Northwest 122nd Street and Penn Avenue, while he was trying to sell a cellphone.
Police have not identified the two people arrested.
