Yukon couple ties the knot before Arkansas baseball game at College World Series
The Arkansas baseball team is no stranger to the College World Series -- making an appearance three times in the last five years -- so a Yukon couple's idea of getting married at their favorite team's game in Omaha, Nebraska, wasn't so far-fetched.According to the website Whole Hogs Sports, Kellie Diedrich and Seth Brown joked in January about getting married at a Razorbacks game if the team reached the College World Series. "I kind of laughed it off," Brown told Whole Hogs Sports. "The chances of them making it to the College World Series aren't slim, but that's not something they're just guaranteed. So, I said, 'Yeah. OK. That's what we'll do."And that's exactly what they did Saturday before the Razorbacks' game against Florida State. While wearing Arkansas T-shirts reading "bride" and "groom," Brown and Diedrich -- now Kellie Brown -- tied the knot in front of the Road to Omaha statue just outside the home plate entrance at the ballpark."We went live on Facebook so our friends and family could see it," Kellie Brown said. "They were really excited. Our parents were really excited because they didn't have to plan for anything or pay for anything."After saying their "I Do's," the crowd in attendance for the ceremony joined in the Hog call."They were so receptive," Kellie Brown said. "We had a large crowd around that was watching. They were so encouraging, and not only Razorback fans but other fans were receptive, too, standing around and clapping."Whole Hog Sports' full story can be read here.
