PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Authorities are looking for a 25-year-old wanted man and his 3-year-old son who may be in the Hillsboro area.
Gaige Burnes, who has a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest, is thought to be living as a transient, possibly near Shute Park, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies think Burnes has his son, Colt Burnes, with him.
The Department of Human Services has a protective custody order for Colt and said Colt may currently be in an unsafe situation.
Deputies said the public should avoid confronting Gaige Burnes.
Burnes was charged with 2nd-degree child neglect in March. The warrant for his arrest was issued after he failed to show up for his arraignment the following month.
