PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — One person died after a head-on crash on the Portland-Hubbard Highway early Wednesday morning.
The crash occurred shortly after midnight on Wednesday. Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue, Aurora Fire and AMR all provided assistance.
Stephanie Patricio died at the scene. The 33-year-old was a Woodburn resident. The other driver, 29-year-old Kelsie Martin of Beavercreek, was transported by Life Flight.
Investigators said Martin crossed the center line and hit Patricio head-on. Martin has serious injuries.
Early indications are that alcohol was a factor in this crash.
The Portland-Hubbard Highway was closed just south of the Interstate 5 intersection near Wilsonville for several hours. It was reopened around 6:45 a.m.
A GoFundMe page was set up to help Patricio’s family pay for memorial costs.
