PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man who kidnapped and killed his wife in Southeast Portland has been sentenced to 23 years in prison.

Lila Streeter died Oct. 2, 2017 from blunt force trauma to the head, neck and abdoment. She was 26.

Her husband, Robert Lee West, admitted to first-degree manslaughter and first-degree kidnapping in November 2018.

West was originally charged with one count of murder.

At West’s sentencing Friday in Multnomah County, Streeter’s family remembered her as a loving mother to 3 young boys and a woman who cared deeply about her family and friends.
