PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland police arrested a man after shots were fired in 3 city neighborhoods Friday afternoon.
Malcolm K. Menefee was booked at the Multnomah County Detention Center on multiple charges, including unlawful use of a weapon and reckless endangerment, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the Vernon neighborhood just before 3 p.m. but they didn’t find a suspect or any evidence of gunfire.
A call came in a few minutes later about gunfire in the Concordia neighborhood.
Police said an officer found 26-year-old Menefee near Northeast 48th Avenue and Northeast Killingsworth Street.
He was taken into custody peacefully, officers said.
About 2 miles away in the King neighborhood, officers said they found a home that had been hit by a bullet. Witnesses reported other shots fired skyward.
No one was hurt.
