PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two school districts extended their school years on Thursday due to missed snow days.

Portland Public Schools said they have three makeup days listed on the district calendar, June 10-12, and will be using two of them, June 10 and 11. The district needs to make up hours missed during February snow days.

Salem-Keizer Public Schools said they will be adding one day to the calendar. The updated calendar does not apply to Waldo, Judson, North Salem or McNary – those schools remain on the original calendar so major construction will not be delayed.
