Northern Nevada man stashed meth in teen daughter's purse
A northern Nevada man faces up to 30 years in prison after he admitted stashing 60 grams of methamphetamine in his teenage daughter's purse during a traffic stop.
The (Gardnerville) Record-Courier reports that 55-year-old John Nigra of Topaz Ranch Estates pleaded guilty Tuesday to drug trafficking with the assistance of a child.
Douglas County law officers testified that they were watching Nigra before they pulled him over on Dec. 17.
Sheriff's investigator Jon Storke said Nigra put the meth and a drug pipe in the 16-year-old girl's purse.
Nigra faces a minimum of three years in prison at his sentencing set for June 18.
Prosecutors agreed to drop an additional charge of carrying a concealed weapon as part of a plea-bargain agreement.
