Stray dog found in Washoe County reunited with owner in Oregon

A stray dog found in Washoe County is back home with its owner who lives in Oregon.

Washoe County Regional Animal Services tweeted the reunion Friday, January 24, 2020. They said they found Bleu and immediately checked for a microchip. They say they contacted the owner who said the dog had been missing for a year.

It's unclear whether the owner used to live in Washoe County.

Officials with animal services are using the reunion to show the importance of microchipping.
