Pine Ridge Reservation man killed in accident in Wyoming

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says 37-year old Theodore Earring of Batesland was killed in an an accident Thursday afternoon on Interstate 80 west of Lyman, Wyoming. The Patrol says Earring was a passenger in the back seat of a Chevrolet Silverado that was heading east on Interstate 80 when it drifted off the left side of the slick road and overturned. The Patrol says Earring was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene. The driver of the Silverado, 51-year old Alfonso Ortiz of Victorville,California, was taken to the hospital with injuries as was a front seat passenger, 40-year old Julio Hernandez of Victorville. The Patrol says driving too fast for road conditions is being investigated as a contributing factor.
