MISSOULA — Clouds are slowing moving in Western Montana after a fairly sunny afternoon.
The snow showers that moved through this morning have pushed out of Eastern Montana, but we track another round of snow moving into our area tonight.
Snow showers move into upper elevations across our neighboring line with Idaho late tonight. Mountain snow will continue to fall overnight before moving into Northwest Montana early Saturday morning.
Saturday snow showers will mostly stay along a line north of I-90 through Kalispell and over to the Divide, but snow showers in valleys will be light.
A flurry or two is possible in Missoula and across I-90, but the bulk of snow stays north.
Temperatures on Saturday will reach into the low 30s, but skies will stay mostly cloudy in areas snow is not falling.
High pressure starts to build into our area on Sunday afternoon.
Expect to see only a few clouds on Monday, although a layer of inversion is possible across valleys. A thin line smog and lowered air quality is possible in these areas.
Our next big system pushes into the west by Tuesday afternoon.
Temperatures will continue on a warming trend through the week, so as this next system arrives, rain and snow showers will mix into lower elevations.
