CONCORD (KRON) — Three men were arrested Thursday afternoon after allegedly stealing a teenager’s phone and stabbing him in a Concord parking garage.

The Concord Police Department said the three men asked to use the 15-year-old boy’s cell phone. Once the teen gave one of the men his phone, they walked away.

Police said the victim then followed the suspects to a parking garage on Salvio Street and begged for his phone to be returned.

That’s when the suspects allegedly battered and stabbed the boy in a stairwell and stole his shoes and other belongings.

The teen contacted police and was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries.

Police later tracked down the suspects and each were charges with kidnapping, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and a street gang enhancement.

Police have not released the identities of the three suspects, but said they are being held in the Contra Costa County Jail.

The boy’s condition is unknown.
