Concord police are searching for a man who placed an order from a sandwich shop on Wednesday, then robbed the place.

The suspect walked into a Subway at a Park ‘N’ Shop location and ordered a sandwich.

After an argument over not having enough money to pay for his meal, the man jumped the counter, pushed the Subway employee aside and grabbed the cash drawer from the open register, authorities say.

The suspect then hopped back over the counter and ran out.

Customers who witnessed the robbery followed the man to Broadway and California Streets but ultimately lost track of him.

Officers recovered the empty cash register drawer near the north side of Frys’ Electronics

The man then jumped back over the counter and ran out of the establishment.

The suspect is described as a Black man in his mid-20s. He is approximately 5’09” tall and 160lbs.

He has black hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans.
