Investigators released surveillance video hoping the public can help identify a woman who robbed a Concord car wash at knifepoint.

The robbery happened at the Rain & Shine Car Wash on Clayton Road last Wednesday just after 8 a.m., according to police.

The surveillance video shows a woman armed with a large knife demanding cash.

“It was a kitchen knife, a huge kitchen knife,” the robbery victim tells KRON4.

The cashier facing the point of the sharp blade, Ali Magowhary, says he was on the phone when suddenly a hooded woman wearing a mask walked in.

“Well, she surprised me,” Magowhary said. “All of a sudden she pulls out a huge knife from inside her pocket and demanded I give her the cash.”

After several unsuccessful attempts at demanding he open the safe, she leaves on foot, taking the money from the register with her.

The victim tells KRON4 he cautiously followed behind her and watched as she crossed Clayton Road before disappearing behind a McDonald’s.

If you think you know this woman in the video, please contact the Concord Police Department.
