ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Police have arrested a man accused of killing a woman in the North Valley.

Officers responded to a disturbance call between a man and a woman around 2:18 a.m. on Saturday in the area of Montano and Fourth Street. Police say during the call to Albuquerque Police Department’s communications center, an argument and struggle could be heard in the background between a man and woman.

Authorities arrived at a home where they say they found 35-year-old Jared Ryan inside a truck in the driveway where officers say he was covered in blood. Police then found a deceased woman inside the home.

Ryan claims the woman and two other men showed up to his home before the woman pulled a knife on him. He says he was later knocked out.

Ryan is now charged with an open count of murder. The woman’s identity has not yet been confirmed by police.
