Some New Mexico Tech students have caught the attention of NASA.
A team from the university in Socorro have been invited by NASA to compete in a research competition.
The five male students have a proposal to develop a portable wireless signal booster that addresses communication issues in remote locations.
The team was one of ten selected and will give its presentation to the Johnson Space Center in Houston in late January.
If the students win, they will be invited to present their ideas to companies in Silicon Valley.
