ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A new report shows New Mexico is on track to reach its clean energy goals.

Since 2009, the state has increased the amount of wind and sun energy by hundreds of times over, ranking among the top 25 states with progressive energy efficiency programs. The report provides a state-by-state assessment of the growth of key technologies needed to power the nation with clean renewable energy.

“These include wind and solar energy efficiency, battery storage and electric car sales,” said Arcelia Isais with Environment New Mexico.

The report says so long as the state continues its efforts, it should meet its carbon-free energy goal by 2045. To learn more, click here.
