Temperatures are falling fast behind a cold front Tuesday afternoon.

That's just one of the impacts we're going to be seeing behind the front.

The most significant impact will be accumulating snow.

Snow is already falling, and there are even a few slippery spots on the Hi-Line.

Snow will continue through the evening before tapering off Wednesday morning.

Areas west of the divide, Helena, and Northeast Montana will be spared from most of the snow.

The rest of the state will pick up between about 1 and 4 inches, with more expected at higher elevations.

That will be enough to make roads slippery overnight.

Be prepared for a slower commute Wednesday morning.

Be prepared for some much cooler temperatures as well.

Low temperatures Wednesday will range from the teens to lower 20s, and highs will be in the 20s and 30s.
