SALT LAKE CITY — On Thursday, a few thousand marched downtown for the fourth consecutive day protesting the death of George Floyd, a black man who died in the custody of a white police officer in Minneapolis. The officer and three others have been charged with murder; Floyd was memorialized in Minnesota on Thursday as well.

This week's protests in Utah have appeared to remain peaceful, in contrast to Saturday's protest that led to multiple arrests after two cars were lit on fire.

There were at least three protests planned at the state Capitol building on Thursday.
