Students and alumni gathered Friday night in Atwood to sing the national anthem at a northwest Kansas football game between Rawlins County and Trego County.
Kayla Teimeyer, choral director at Rawlins County, has been doing the project since 2006, and it always happens on homecoming.
Teimeyer said they had up to 300 students and alums singing.
The students wear red, white, and blue and form USA on the field. They also let go of colored balloons at the end of the performance.
