In an effort to get better connected with people in Topeka, the city manager is setting up a mobile office.
Every four months Brent Trout said he will be out and about in the city. This month he met with people at Juli’s Coffee and Bistro in Downtown Topeka.
Trout said it’s an opportunity to meet and hear their concerns.
“Getting out of the office and making myself more accessible and coming to a coffee house in this case to be able to sit across the table and talk about their concerns was what I was hoping for. As I’ve talked with people they are very appreciative of the opportunity to do that,” Trout said.
People who want to talk with Trout at the next mobile office time can schedule a meeting or show up during the open hour.
