The woman charged in an April 3rd fatal hit and run entered pleas Friday in Shawnee County District Court. Alexis Nolte pleaded guilty to second degree murder, leaving the scene of a fatal accident and aggravated assault, according to District Attorney Mike Kagay.

Police were called to 715 SW Western at 7:40 p.m. on April 3, 2018 in response to a hit and run. They found Kuebler lying in the alley south of the case address. She was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses at the scene described a green SUV that struck Kuebler in the parking lot before fleeing from the scene. Officers located the suspect vehicle within an hour of the call and Nolte was taken into custody.

As part of the plea agreement, the parties agreed to recommend the maximum sentence for each count and that the sentence for each count be served consecutively. The sentencing range will be determined based upon Nolte’s criminal history. Sentencing has been scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on November 7.
