LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Firefighters from Las Vegas and Clark County responded to a tree fire that spread to a house early Sunday morning.
The initial call came in just after 10:30 a.m. as a tree caught fire behind a home located in the 4100 block of El Camino Avenue, near Valley View Boulevard and Sahara Avenue.
When firefighters arrived, the fire from the palm tree had spread to the attic of a home.
Crews than battled the blaze in the attic and were able to bring the fire under control in less than 15 minutes, according to a news release about the incident.
However, the breezy conditions assisted the flames in spreading as two homes were affected in the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and no injuries were reported in the incident.
