UPDATE JAN. 8: Cody Pomeroy, an 18-year-old charged with threatening a Las Vegas high school, has been sentenced to boot camp, according to court records.
In August 2019, Pomeroy was arrested after police say he made threats online and to another person describing an attack at Desert Oasis High School.
He has been out on bond with high level electronic monitoring, court records show, and appeared in court on Jan. 8 to be remanded for the boot camp program.
Pomeroy is scheduled to appear back in court for sentencing on Aug. 31.
Court records also show that Pomeroy might be released at sentencing under conditions at the discretion of the corrections director, depending on how he does in the boot camp program.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV/AP) -- Las Vegas police say they've arrested an 18-year-old man who threatened an attack at his former high school and had an explosive device in his home.
Prosecutors on Wednesday said former student Cody Pomeroy had made threats online and to another person describing some sort of attack at Desert Oasis High School, according to the Review-Journal.
Arrest documents report that Pomeroy admitted he built a device on July 5 after he was playing around with fireworks and originally planned to attack on Aug. 19.

Prosecutor Christopher Pandelis called the teen's writings "concerning" but Pomeroy's lawyer argued the letters were not threatening harm to anyone.
Pomeroy is charged with making a threat of terrorism and possessing an explosive device. He made an initial appearance in a Las Vegas courtroom Wednesday where a judge set his bail at $100,000. He's due back in court for an arraignment on Friday morning.
