UPDATE JULY 13: A local immigration advocate with Make the Road Nevada says that all immigrants should be ready for anything.

Immigrants, both legal and nonlegal, need to know their rights.

Felipe Silva says that immigrants should always remain calm when dealing with an ICE agent or any official.

If an ICE agent or official does come to the door, do not open it and ask for a warrant. If they do not have a warrant, they do not have the right to come inside.

Silva says that all immigrants should keep their affairs in order and be prepared for the worse.

And, if taken into custody, remain silent. Wait until a lawyer is made available before speaking.

ORIGINAL STORY
Dozens of people gathered in downtown Las Vegas on Friday night to protest the planned ICE raids and immigration camps.

The protest took place in front of the Lloyd George U.S. Courthouse on Las Vegas Boulevard South.

Protesters chanted and cheered as speakers rallied against the planned raids and detention centers.

Protests also took place in major cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Kansas City, Miami and Seattle.

ICE raids are planned for multiple cities in next few days. Las Vegas is not on the list but people who live in the valley are still concerned about what is happening.
