“Does he appear like he’s dead?” asks one Las Vegas Police officer, as seen on body camera footage.

“Did you shoot him or did he shoot himself... you shot him” says one of the officers.

55-year-old Pamela Bordeaux is accused of killing her former son-in-law Sean Babbitt back in April during a supervised visit with her grandchild.

She's a former Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department detective.

Bordeaux remains behind bars, awaiting her next court appearance this week.

While police have not yet revealed what happened in the moments before the shooting, we do know that Babbitt was at Bordeaux’s home for a supervised weekly visitation with his 3-year-old son.

In her arrest report, it says that during Babbitt’s visitation at Bordeaux’s home, a woman by the name of Erika took the child upstairs, leaving Bordeaux downstairs with Babbit.

Seconds later, she heard gunshots.

Babbitt's stepfather spoke with 13 Action News in the days following his death, telling us Babbitt's son was his world.

“The big love of his life was his little boy Brandon, he couldn’t wait to see him for that hour he got to spend with him,” says Dan Mandarino.

Prosecutors says Babbitt was shot ten times and described his death as an execution.

But Bordeaux's defense attorneys say quite the contrary, and that Bordeaux was only trying to protect her family.

Bordeaux will be back in a Clark County courtroom Tuesday.
