LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

11:59 P.M.
The Clark County Fire Department was called to a house fire on the 7600 block of Ribbon Garland Court, near South Torrey Pines and West Robindale Road. Firefighters found a two-story home with heavy flames coming out of the garage and attacked it aggressively, successfully keeping the fire from reaching the home. The residents were able to evacuate safely and there were no injuries reported to them or any of the firefighters. The cause may be one of the vehicles that was parked in the garage. Two cars were destroyed and estimated damages are at $50,000. Nine people were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross.

9:30 A.M.
The Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a construction worker who was injured at a construction site near the intersection of South Koval Lane and Sands Avenue. When fire personnel arrived, they found the injured worker located in a subgrade work space. The worker had fallen about 20 feet and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The department’s technical rescue team was called in to assist in getting the patient out of the subgrade location. The rescue team members put the patient in a stokes basket and harness which was attached to a crane. The crane then lifted the injured worker and a CCFD firefighter out of the hole and to an ambulance. The worker was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

4:01 A.M.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Watch Commander is reporting a barricade situation on the 9700 block of Villa Lorena Avenue, near South Grand Canyon Drive and Tropicana Avenue. Metro received a call of two suspects reportedly shooting at a victim in the area of South Fort Apache Road and West Tropicana Avenue. The shot did not strike the victim. Investigators discovered the suspects at a home on Villa Lorena but both refused to exit the residence. The suspects were taken into custody with no further incident about six hours after the barricade began.

4 A.M.
The Nevada Highway Patrol officials are reporting a fatal collision on northbound I-15 at Craig Road after 29-year-old Amanda Miranda female stepped out into traffic and was struck by three vehicles. Northbound I-15 was closed as NHP investigates the incident. It is unknown at this time as to why the woman was walking in the lane.

1:21 A.M.
Henderson Fire Department officials report two deaths following a fire at an apartment complex located on the 2000 block of Ramrod Avenue, west of South Mountain Vista Street. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Click here for the full story and updates.
