The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

7 P.M.
Las Vegas jail records show that Avery Ford, the son of Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford, was arrested Saturday and booked into Clark County Detention Center for domestic battery. He is now out on $3,000 cash bail. Aaron Ford's chief of staff Jessica Adair says that it is a family matter and the office will not be commenting at this time. Avery Ford is due back in court August 28.

6:45 P.M.
UPDATE: Las Vegas police say they arrested a suspect in the homicide that happened in the 6400 block of North Decatur Boulevard near 215 beltway. READ FULL STORY.

12:51 P.M.
Las Vegas police, as well as Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, are investigating a crash involving three cars and a bus at West Lake Mead Boulevard and Summit Hills Lane. Nine people were taken to the hospital, one of them in critical condition. West Lake Mead Boulevard is closed from North Tonopah Drive to Comstock Drive.

11 A.M.
A small fire resulted in a brief evacuation today at McCarran International Airport. A spokesperson for the airport says the fire happened underneath carousel 1 in the baggage area. No injuries were reported and no damage to passenger property has been reported. The fire department is investigating the cause.

8 A.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a possible shooting at a shopping center in the 6400 block of North Decatur Boulevard near 215 beltway. Police say an employee arriving for work discovered a person who had been shot multiple times. The gunshot victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

4:34 A.M.
A 25-year-old female is in critical condition after being injured during a crash this morning at Tropicana Avenue and Jones Boulevard. Police say she hit a car driven by a 30-year-old male while it was waiting for the light to change. Police believe she may have been impaired. The other driver sustained minor injuries.
