Now that the weather is starting to cool down, it's time to get outside and enjoy the Las Vegas. Here are some events that are happening in the month of October.

TASTE OF DOWNTOWN
The Taste of Downtown is happening Oct. 10 on the rooftop pool deck of the Plaza hotel-casino in downtown Las Vegas. Enjoy food and beverages from up to 40 different restaurants.

UNLV ART WALK
The 3rd annual UNLV Art Walk is happening Oct. 11. Explore a variety of arts, live performances and food and beverages as you walk along the academic mall of the UNLV campus.

SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS MOVIE NIGHT
Head to Goett Park on Southern Highland Parkway for Movie Night featuring the movie "Aladdin" on Oct. 11. Bring your own seating. There will be free popcorn, snowcones and water. There will also be food truck there. Must get a free ticket through Eventbrite to enjoy the free refreshments. Free admission.

SAFENEST RUN FOR HOPE 5K
SafeNest's Run for Hope 5K & Survivor Celebration is taking place Oct. 12 at Springs Preserve. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with the 5k and 1-mile walk starting at 9 a.m. Individual walkers and teams are welcome to participate. Registration fees start at $40 for the 5k and $15 for the 1-mile fun run/walk. Fees includes a commemorative tee shirt, swag bag and entrance into the Survivors Celebration for food, entertainment and awards ceremony.

LEBANESE AMERICAN FESTIVAL
The Lebanese American Festival is happening Oct. 11-13 at St. Sharbel Church, 10325 Rancho Destino Road. There will be Lebanese cuisine, live entertainment, vendors, dance groups and games for kids.

BIG BOUNCE AMERICA 2019
It's the final weekend for Big Bounce America 2019 at Craig Ranch Regional park. Check out the world's biggest bounce house, America's biggest inflatable obstacle course, slides, ball pits, a maze and more.

SILVER STATE BREWFEST
The Silver State Brewfest is happening Oct. 12 at the pool at Tuscany Suites & Casino. The event, hosted by PUB 365, will feature brews from Joseph James, Big Dog's, CraftHaus, Tenaya Creek, Lovelady, Able Baker, Astronomy, Pigeon Head, and Hop Nuts. With your general admission ticket, you will receive a souvenir tasting glass to enjoy all you can drink craft beer. Food items also available for purchase.

FAMILY FUR & FUN FESTIVAL
The annual Family Fur & Fun Festival is happening 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 12 at Exploration Park in the Mountain Edge's master planned community. The festival will feature pet safety, costume and care tips; a pet costume contest; pet adoption and fostering opportunities; disc demonstrations by the K9 Krew; arts and crafts; spay and neuter education' music and food; and a raffle. Congresswoman Susie Lee is attending and recognizing event organizers for their efforts to help families in need.

CITY OF LAS VEGAS POP-UP FUN
The City of Las Vegas is offering pop-up fun in selected parks this fall. There will be arts, crafts, sports, games and field activities led by Parks & Recreation staff during each event. Look for the mobile recreation van and regristration table in the park on the day of the event. During the month of October, the pop-up events are happening at Bruce Trent Park on Oct. 11; Garehime Heights Park on Oct. 18; Jaycee Community park on Oct. 12; and Lorenzi Park on Oct. 26. Times are 2 to 5 p.m. each date.

SUMMERLIN FESTIVAL OF ARTS
The Summerlin Festival of Arts is happening Oct. 12-13 in Downtown Summerlin. More than 100 fine artists from around the region will participate in the two-day event. There will also be live music, food and beverages available for purchase, and children's activities.

TERRIBLE'S BEER & WINE FEST
Taste more than 70 different types of beer and wine at Terribl's Beer 7 Wine Fest on Oct. 12 in Jean. There will also be a DJ, live music, raffles and prizes, and food trucks. Wristbands are $20. Wristband and room packages also available.

100TH ANNIVERSARY FALL CAR SHOW
The 100th Anniversary Fall Car Show is happening 2 to 7 p.m. Oct. 12 at A&W Restaurant in Boulder City. There will also be live entertainment and food specials. The car show will feature cars from 1972 and older.

THE AGE OF CHIVALRY RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL
The Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival is happening Oct. 11-13 at Sunset Park. The yearly event features a variety of performances and competitions, multiple vendors, food and beverages available for purchase, camping and more.

ANNUAL FARM FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL
The 29th annual Farm Fall Harvest Festival is happening Oct. 11-13, 18-20, and 25-27 at the Las Vegas Farm on Grand Teton Drive. There will be a maize maze, concession stand, artisanal breads, jams/jellies, local honey, cow train, pony rides and the best selection of pumpkins and squash in the valley.

LAS VEGAS PRIDE PARADE AND FESTIVAL
The Las Vegas PRIDE Festival is happening Oct. 11 and 12 at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. There will be food trucks, pop-up drag shows, 100 vendors, an all-ages fun zone, a pet parade and more. The annual PRIDE Parade is happening in downtown Las Vegas on Oct. 11. RELATED STORY.

FALL FUN FESTIVAL
The Fall Fun Festival is happening 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 12 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. There will be a bounce house, a two-lane super slide, face painting, balloon art, free hot dogs and walking tacos and more.

HISPANIC HERITAGE FAMILY FIESTA
The Hispanic Heritage Family Fiesta is happening 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 12 at the East Las Vegas Community Center. There will be live entertainment, face painting, information booths and refreshments.

11TH ANNUAL ROSE REGATTA
The 11th annual Rose Regatta Dragon Boat Festival will take to the water at Lake Las Vegas Oct. 12 and 13 and hundreds of paddlers from across the country will pull together to raise funds to support breast care services at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals. The event will begin at noon with the blessing of the waters. Participants include local media representatives, including Leah Pezzetti of 13 Action news, first responders, breast cancer survivors and friends/family. There will also be a traditional lion dance and dotting the eyes ceremony.

INDIAN CARNIVAL
The 14th Dusshera Mela (Indian carnival) is happening 3 to 9 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Hindu Temple and Jain Center of Las Vegasm 1701 Sageberry Drive. There will be kiddie rides, Indian food from local restaurants, henna artists, Indian dance performances, burning of Ravan at 7: 30.m., clothing and jewelry for purchase, fireworks and more. ESPRESSO AND EXOTICS
The monthly gathering known as Espresso and Exotics is happening Oct. 13 between Kona Grill and the Cheesecake Factory at Boca Park. The informal car show will feature rare exotics, highlines, customs and classics.

LAS VEGAS BOOK FESTIVAL
The Las Vegas Book Festival returns to the Historic Fifth Street School on Oct. 19. The annual festival is free and open to all ages. There is large outdoor book sale, programming for readers of all ages, workshops, music, exhibits, and panel discussions.

PUTT PUTT FOR THE TATAS
Putt Putt for the Tatas on Oct. 16 at Angel Park Golf Club will support the American Cancer Society's Real Mean Wear Pink campaign. There will be food and cocktails. $50 for the mixer or $60 if you want to putt putt.

DOWNTOWN BREW FESTIVAL OCT. 19
Motley Brew's Downtown Brew Festival is happening Oct. 19 at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater. There will be more than 200 beers, chefs from around the valley, live music and multiple vendors.

THE GREAT INFLATABLE RACE
The Great Inflatable Race is happening Oct. 19 at Craig Ranch Regional Park. Giant inflatable obstacles are spread throughout the course. The race is open to all ages.

OCTOBER BEER FEST
The October Beer Fest is happening noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 19 at Floyd Lamb Park in Centennial hills. Hosted by Las Vegas Farmers Market. There will be food trucks, a beer garden by Local 808, games and more.

LIP SMACKING ARTS DISTRICT TOUR
Lip Smacking Foodie Tours is offering a brand-new tour featuring the Arts District. Participants will have the opportunity to learn relevant stories and behind-the-scenes details about the local art history while enjoying local restaurants. Art exhibits include the thought-provoking "Chain Migration" by artist Izaac Zevalking and the "Paintbrush Gateway," Dennis Oppenheim’s two 45-foot tall steel paintbrushes of rainbow-colored LED light. Restaurants include Esther's Kitchen and Jammyland. Cost is $125 per person plus.

USA TODAY WINE & FOOD EXPERIENCE
The USA Today Wine & Food Experience is back at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on Oct. 26. Sample culinary offerings from a variety of MGM Resorts restaurants and interact with chefs, entertainers and industry leaders. RELATED STORY.

TIM BURTON AT NEON MUSEUM
"Lost Vegas: Tim Burton" opens Oct. 15 at the Neon Museum. The exhibition will feature some of the artist's original fine art. This is the first exhibit in the U.S. in nearly a decade.

MARKET IN THE ALLEY
Market in the Alley at Fergusons Downtown is happening Oct. 20. The event will feature about 60 local makers, curators and artists. There will also be amazing food, live music and magical cocktails. The market starts at noon.

BAZAAR ON THE ROOF
The culinary extravaganza Bazaar on the Roof returns to Sahara Las Vegas from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Oct. 24. The annual event is produced by Bazaar meat by Joses Andres. Live entertainment provided by cast of "BLANC de BLANC." Two large live-action stations and passed bites. There will also be a dessert trolley. Tickets are $159 plus.

LAS VEGAS BALLOON GLOW
The Las Vegas Balloon Glow is happening Oct. 24-27 at Craig Ranch Regional Park. There will be balloon glows at dusk, tethered balloon rides, food trucks, vendors and games for the kids.

VINTAGE MARKET DAYS
Vintage Market Days is back at Downtown Summerlin on Oct. 25. The outdoors market features upcycled antiques, vintage finds, unique clothing, food trucks, handmade treasures and more.
