The New Mexico State men’s basketball team entertains Seattle U this Saturday, Feb. 16, for its annual Pack the Pan Am promotion with a 7 p.m. (MT) tip-off on Lou Henson Court.
Adam Young (@youngpbp) will have the call alongside former Neil McCarthy assistant Rus Bradburd (@RusBradburd) on the broadcast between the Aggies and Redhawks.

UPCOMING PROMOTION
For Saturday’s game, several members of the championship teams from the 1960s will be on hand as New Mexico State commemorates those conference titles with a new banner inside the Pan Am. In addition, Saturday’s contest against Seattle U will be the annual Pack the Pan Am game.
Tuesday, Feb. 19, will serve as 3.0 night for Aggie Athletics as student-athletes across all 16 sports with a 3.0 GPA or better will be honored at halftime.
IN THE NATION
Through games on Feb. 14, NM State is ranked seventh in the country rebounding margin (8.3) and its offensive rebounds per game (13.16) checks in at No. 20 in the nation while its NET ranking of 60 is best amongst WAC teams. The Aggies are just outside the top-25 in scoring margin (11.2), checking in at No. 30 while its .840 winning-percentage is tied for 12th in the nation.
SCOUNTING THE REDHAWKS
New Mexico State is 14-3 all-time against Seattle U heading into the game Saturday and a perfect 7-0 at home against the Redhawks. After starting the year 12-3 with wins over Washington State and California, Seattle U has gone 1-8 in league play with its lone win coming at Chicago State.
Despite its woes in league play, SU has five players averaging in double-figures and is led by Myles Carter (14.8 ppg), Matej Kavas (14.1 ppg), Morgan Means (13.6 ppg), Delante Jones (12.8 ppg) and Terrell Brown (12.2 ppg). However, Kavas has been on the injured list since January and Jones as of late.
Carter also paces the team on the glass with 8.2 boards per game Brown is second on the squad with 6.8 boards per game. Brown has also dished out a team-high 111 assists this year while his 27 steals is second-most on the team. Means has knocked in a team-high 44 threes but Aaron Nettles is shooting at a .465 clip amongst active players.
In league play, Jones leads the team in scoring with a 15.0 points average while Brown is second on the team with a 14.6 points average and 6.7 rebounds per game.

LAST TIME OUT
True to its team mentality, the NM State men’s basketball team had five players score in double-figures while two different players led the team in each half en route to an 84-77 win over Utah Valley.
JoJo Zamora led the Aggies in the first-half, draining almost every shot he took for 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field and 5-of-5 from 3-point range. The second-half saw Eli Chuha break out and score 19 points before finishing with 21 points and 10 rebounds on 7-of-11 shooting for his 22nd career double-double.
When the dust settled, Trevelin Queen added 17 points of his own while Terrell Brown added 11 points and five boards. Clayton Henry chipped in with 11 points as well and tied his season-high in rebounds with nine.
UP NEXT
NM State remains at home and plays host to Texas A&M – International on Tuesday, Feb. 19, for a 7 p.m. (MT) tip-off. Tuesday night’s midweek match-up will also serve as 3.0 night for Aggie Athletics with every student-athlete across all 16 varsity sports will be honored.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Aggies wrap up their four-game homestand with a 4 p.m. (MT) game against UT Rio Grande Valley on the WAC Digital Network before hitting the road for its final two road games of WAC play. First stop on the swing will be Kansas City on Thursday, Feb. 28, before taking on Chicago State on Saturday, March 2.
