An Anchorage guitar teacher has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a child. The victim, investigators say, was someone he knew.

Jeremy D. Strunk, 39, was arrested last year as part of

a nation-wide investigation that lead to more than 2,300 arrests nation-wide. Seven of those suspects, including Strunk, were in Alaska.

In a statement issued Wednesday, APD said Strunk was reported to authorities on May 1, 2018. Crimes Against Children detectives then launched an investigation, and he was arrested the next day.

Detectives working on his case have concerns that there could be more victims.

In 2000, Strunk began giving guitar lessons in the Palmer and Wasilla area through numerous venues, APD said in the statement.

"If you believe you were victimized by Strunk, or have any information pertaining to this case, please contact Anchorage Police Detective Kleinsmith at 907-786-8579 or Wasilla Police Investigator Bennett at 907-352-5412," APD wrote.
