Whether it's cleaning up a yard, bringing over some baked goods, or simply paying someone a visit, we all have the power to do some good. It's part of being a good neighbor, and Saturday was all about celebrating that.

Saturday was National Good Neighbor day, and some Anchorage residents were spreading the love. Some shared the power of flowers thanks to local business, Bagoy's Florist and Home. today three roses were given to every walk in customer with a goal of keeping one for themselves and giving the other two away.

"Flowers are a proven mood booster," said Sheila Parker, of Bagoy's Florist and Home. "They make everybody happy. It doesn't matter what kind of flowers or what the reason is. It is a scientific fact that being around flowers makes you happier."

Between Bagoy's two anchorage locations, about 1,000 flowers were given away Saturday.
