Attention, if you attend Anchorage School board meetings, the day is different.

In a press release, ASD says school board meeting days have changed from Monday’s to the first and third Tuesdays beginning Aug. 6, 2019.

The Board will hold one Work Session per month unless noted otherwise.

Here is how each meeting is broken down.

Meeting 1: First Tuesday of the month

Work Session - (1 hour) begins at 4:00 p.m.

Executive Session / Break – (1 hour) – begins at 5:00 p.m.

Regular Session – begins at 6:00 p.m.

Meeting 2: Third Tuesday of the month

Executive Session / Break – (1 hour) - begins at 5:00 p.m.

Regular Session – begins at 6:00 p.m.

ASD says public testimony will stay at 3-minutes per person. But something new, a one-hour timeslot at the beginning of the meeting is now available. Testimony over an one hour will be heard at the second opportunity for testimony at the end of the meeting or can be submitted in writing.
