Police: Three Boise-area businesses received bomb threat email

Police say they have no reason to find any of the threats credible.

We are following a viral email threat that has been circulating to numerous locations across the nation today.

In the email, someone or something is claiming there will be a bomb explosion at the location the email is sent to unless a Bitcoin payment is made.

Bitcoin is a type of digital currency.

According to Boise Police, three businesses in the Boise area have received that email, but they believe there is no reason to find the threat credible. One of the emails was found in a spam filter.

Searches have been conducted and no such devices have been found.

Police are urging the public to be vigilant and report anything unusual or suspicious packages at a business.
