BILLINGS — Teachers and school officials rallied together Tuesday in preparation for the 2019-2020 Billings school year.

Speakers like Superintendent Greg Upham and Q2’s A Better You segment reporter Joey Traywick took the stage at MetraPark to motivate and rev the teachers up for the upcoming school year.

Self-care was the focus of the event, encouraging the teachers to stay healthy and take care of themselves throughout the entire school year.

Traywick was a motivational speaker focusing on diet and simple things the teachers can do like cut out added sugars from their meals.

“It’s all about getting up, getting moving and taking care of ourselves throughout the school year,” said Erin Evans, a health and P.E. teacher at Highland and Mckinley schools

School starts for Billings Public Schools on Thursday, Aug. 22.
