Update Tuesday a.m..

The Kansas Highway Patrol has identified the man killed in a crash at I-135 and 21st Street as 49-year-old Lashon Harding.

Update 9:15 p.m.

Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Chad Crittenden says a 49-year-old Wichita man is dead after a one-vehicle crash on northbound I-135 near the 21st Street exit.

The far left lane of that stretch of interstate is blocked due to road construction and the posted speed limit at the stretch was 50 mph at the time of the crash, Crittenden say.

Crittenden says in the crash reported about 7:45 p.m., the man's Cadillac traveled at a high rate of speed going around a curve just south of the 21st Street exit. He says the driver lost control of the car, spun sideways and went into the grassy east ditch, hitting a light pole broadside.

The man died at the scene, Crittenden says.
