Police identify Northwest High School student killed in W. Wichita crash
The Wichita Police Department has identified the Northwest High School student killed in a crash on Monday as 17-year-old Dominick Sublett.
Officers responded to the scene around 12:55 p.m. at Central and Socora and located a 2007 Gold Mercury Mountaineer SUV and a 2000 silver Honda Civic that had been involved in the crash.
Police learned the Mountaineer was traveling east on Central and turned north onto Socora colliding into the Honda which was heading west on Central.
Sublett was a front-seat passenger in the Honda and died on the scene. The 16-year-old who was driving the Honda and a 16-year-old in the backseat were seriously hurt.
The 83-year-old driver of the Mountaineer suffered minor injuries.
Police say speed may have been a factor in the crash.

Police say 17-year-old Northwest High School student died in a crash in a west Wichita crash Monday afternoon.
Officers say the boy was a front-seat passenger in one of the cars involved in the deadly crash on Central at Socora.
The 16-year-old boy who was driving the car and a 16-year-old girl who was in the backseat both suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, according to police.
The 85-year-old driver other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
A Strategic Plan Feedback Session scheduled to take place at Northwest High School has been canceled due to the crash.

One person has died, another has critical injuries after a crash in west Wichita.
It happened around 1 p.m. Monday afternoon near the intersection of Central and Socora. That's near Bishop Carroll High School.
Eyewitness News has spoken with the high school and they say none of there students are involved in the crash.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area at this time.
