3 hurt in crash southwest of Wichita

Three people were hurt in a crash involving a FedEx truck Friday afternoon.

The crash happened around 2 p.m. near the intersection of K-42 and Tyler, in Sedgwick County.

The sheriff's office says the FedEx truck was northbound on Tyler and had the green light. An SUV driving eastbound on K-42 and ran the red light, striking the FedEx truck. The driver of the truck tried to avoid the crash and hit a third vehicle.

All four patients were inside the SUV that ran the red light. One person suffered critical injuries, another was seriously hurt and another had minor injuries. One person in the vehicle was not hurt.
