Stolen car leads to multiple vehicle crash in west Wichita

A car reported stolen caused a crash that left six people hurt in west Wichita on Monday.

Wichita police say a deputy spotted the car near Kellogg and Meridian around 3 p.m., ran its plate and found it was stolen.

Before the deputy could even follow the car, police say it ran a red light and hit two other vehicles.

Four people were inside the car and two suffered critical injuries. Two others in another vehicle had serious injuries. Two people from another car had minor injuries.

All of the patients were taken to Via Christi St. Francis for treatment.
