Independence Day is just around the corner! We have compiled a list of celebrations taking place around the Wichita area.

▪️ Red, White & Boom!

Time: July 4, 5 p.m.- 10 p.m. (fireworks show begins at 9:45 p.m. over the Arkansas River).

Location: Activities are on Hyatt Lawn, the Lewis Street Bridge, and Water Street.

The fourth of July celebration, concert, and fireworks are all FREE.

▪️ Celebrate America at Old Cowtown

Time: June 29, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Location: Old Cowtown Museum, 1865 W Museum Blvd

Celebrate Independence at Cowtown with vintage baseball, gunfights, saloon girls, magicians, carnival games and more (Regular admission prices apply).

▪️ Let Freedom Ring: Patriotic Celebration

Time: June 30, 7 p.m.- 8 p.m.

Location: Central Christian Church-Wichita, 2900 N Rock Rd

Bring your family and friends to an evening of music and celebration, followed by yummy treats from Dairy Queen.

▪️ Let Freedom Ring

Time: June 30, 6:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m.

Location: 600 N. Greenwich Road

Patriotic Orchestra Concert, free barbecue, and fireworks finale by Stella Fireworks (Bring your own chairs and blankets).

▪️ Veterans Memorial Park Independence Day Program

Time: July 4, 10 a.m.

Location: Veterans Memorial Park, 329 Veterans Parkway

U.S. Representative Ron Estes will speak and they will have other Independence Day recognition activities (lawn chairs are recommended).

▪️ Celebrate America Bradley Fair Jazz Concert Fireworks Show

Time: 7:30 p.m.- 9:30 pm

Location: Bradley Fair, 2000 N. Rock Road

Arrive early to stake out your spot for this FREE concert and fireworks show. Grace Kelly, singer, jazz saxophonist and songwriter, is featured at 7:30 p.m. and the fireworks show is immediately following the music, about 9:30 p.m.

▪️ Derby 4th of July Celebration

Time: July 4, 7:30 a.m.- 9:30 p.m.

A parade is at 10 a.m. at Panther Stadium heading west on Madison Avenue to Georgie Street, south to Market Street, and east back to Panther Stadium. Firework festivities in High Park begin at 7 p.m. with food trucks. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m (Entry is free).

▪️ 4th of July Extravaganza (McPherson)

Time: July 4, 7:30 p.m.- 10:30 p.m.

Location: Wall Park in McPherson

The event will feature live music, shaved ice, glow bracelets, face painting, and fireworks.

▪️ City of Sedgwick 4th of July

Location: Sedgwick High School football field, 400 W. 4th St.

▪️ 4th of July Celebration

Time: July 4, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Location: East Park,100 S Woodland St, El Dorado, KS

The City of El Dorado Parks & Recreation Department is hosting a 4th of July Celebration with games, activities, and lunch for FREE.

▪️ 4th of July Free Swim

Time: July 4, 1 p.m.

Location: El Dorado Municipal Pool, 900 N Taylor St

Come out to the El Dorado Municipal Pool for a FREE swim on July 4th.

▪️ 4th of July at El Dorado Lake

Time: July 4, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Location: El Dorado Lake

The lakeside fun includes parade, vintage auto show & Christmas in July craft fair.

▪️ Park City Salute to Freedom

Time: July 3, 4 (Park City’s two-day celebration will have free activities, entertainment and events)

Festivities include a movie in the park, 6801 N. Hydraulic, about sunset July 3. On July 4, a parade at 9 a.m. travels from Spangles restaurant east to Hydraulic, then north to the park. Events at the park include fun from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., concert 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m. From 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., fun at the park includes inflatables, face painting, food for purchase from vendors, entertainment and water carnival with water games for youngsters and a dunk tank.

▪️ Augusta Fireworks

Time: Dusk

Location: Augusta City Lake

A fireworks display is at dusk on July 4 at Augusta City Lake (entry is free).

▪️ Mulvane Independence Day Fun

Time: 11:30 a.m. (Parade)

The community of Mulvane offers a parade at 11:30 a.m. July 4, and Ice Cream Social at Cobb Park.

▪️ North Newton Fireworks Extravaganza

Time: July 4, 7 p.m.- 10 p.m.

Location: Kidron Bethel Village, 3001 Ivy Drive, North Newton

Festivities include a bake sale, games for youngsters, entertainment & raffle Fireworks start about dusk (admission is free).

▪️ Haysville Fourth of July Celebration

Time: (Festivities are all day)

A parade from Haysville Middle School, 900 W. Grand, is at 8 a.m. Other events include fishing derby for youngsters 3 to 13, Aviator Car Show 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., frog races for ages 3 to 13 at 10 a.m., inflatable obstacle course for ages 3 to 13 at 10:45 a.m., hot dog feed at Riggs Park at 11 a.m., 11:45 p.m. raft races at pool with registration at 11:30 a.m. for ages 6 to 13, and water carnival at pool, which is free with a non-perishable food item for food bank 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., food court 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and free concert 7:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. Fireworks at Riggs Park are about 9:45 p.m.

▪️ Goddard Independence Day Celebration

Time: July 5, 7 - 10:30 p.m.

Location: Ballfields just north of Clark Davidson Elementary this year due to construction at Discovery/Goddard Ball Complex.

Celebrate Independence Day with hot dogs, watermelon, ice cream, a live band by the Goddard Lions Club and fireworks.

▪️ Toronto Days 2019

Time: July 5 12 p.m. – July 7 9 p.m.

Location: Toronto Reservoir, Cross Timbers State Park and Toronto Wildlife Area

▪️ First Annual Celebrate Clearwater

Time: Festivities will begin July 5 at 7:00 pm. and July 6 at 4 p.m.

Location: Clearwater, Kansas
